Sound Touch Lite - Flash Cards App Reviews

11 month old loves this

This is the best picture and sound app that we have found! I absolutely love that when you click on the cute cartoon style pictures the app opens up one of several real photos of that animal (or item) each with its own sound rather than just one sound/image for each -- I think there were 3 or 4 for each.

Great app

Great app, so simple so much you can do with it. Students, clients, my own kids love it....! Great pictures and sounds. It would be nice to be able to lock a picture so that it could be discussed....each time you touch the screen it changes. Other than that awesome.

Great App!

I think it would be better if that when you touch pics, they would say what animal or object you pressed, but otherwise real good!!!!!

My 2yr old niece LOVES LOVES this app

My 2yr old niece walks in to visit me and after I get my hug and a few words in gibberish she points to my iPhone or my iPod ands clearly asks to play her Baby Games. It is adorable. The funniest part is when her mother gets into it with her. It is funny seeing my sister (or any other adult for that matter) getting upset because the toddler didnt press the animal they wanted to hear. I think this game brings out their inner child. I recently got a new iPod and this was one of the first apps I made sure was installed. My niece is learning all sorts of animals. We just recently discovered that they made a color app too!!! LOVE IT! THANK YOU FOR SUCH A COOL APP

Sound Touch

I have not been able to get sounds from this app. Yes, my sound touch speech is set to on ~~ as well as the rotation switch on the side of my IPad. Please advise.

Ads not good

The app was ok but the ads on it were for singles chat. Obviously if a baby or small child is playing this they do not know what they are hitting. Change the ads, or get rid of them.

Like it, but hate updates

WHY THE $h!+ ARE ALL YOUR UPDATES OVER 20 MB !!!!!!!!! Other than that i like the app

Amazing app!

I am completely amazed by the variety of sounds and images! They gave A LOT for free. My 16 yo months son was instantly into this app, the simplicity of using it really made him happy. The photos are beautiful. Just get it! EDIT: With the addition of the dubbing this app is now totally incredible. Great variety of languages too!

Get rid of inappropriate singles ad!

App was awesome until my 2 year old clicked on the ad at the top of the screen for 1000s of singles! ARE YOU SERIOUS?? DELETED!! Very inappropriate on an app designed for children!! Gave 1 instead of 0 star only because I was forced to. Would have given 5 if that ad wasnt on it!

Recommended to my friends

My two year old would play on this for hours if i let him. Was recommended to me and we love it. Great pictures; clear sounds.

My daughter loves it

My daughter enjoys this App very much. She is 2 1/2 years old and she can spend 30 minutes a day clicking on the icons, seeing the images and hearing the sounds. She likes the animals, vehicles and household images the best. Very stable of well thought of App. Hightly recommended. I must add that this review is for the paid App. Usually the free Apps have ads or other garbage that makes apps unfit for babies or toddlers. I remeber I paid for this App soon after I downloaded it and have been very happy with the purchase.

Seriously!

This app would be great if it were smaller it takes up a lot of room on my phone! The ads are horrible! Instead of entertaining my son I spend most of my times exerting from the ads than him playing! WHAT DO TOU MEAN I HAVE TO PAY $5 TO BUY THE ENTIRE APP! THIS IS CRAZY!!!! DELETE!!!!!!

Slow . . . dull

Somewhere I missed the part of the description that explained that a stupid, squeaky voice would say the name of each item in English and Spanish every time it was touched. My two year old flings the slowness dull, and Im ready to throw my bilingual iPad into the Rio Grande.

My daughters favorite app!

My 1.5 year old has learned so much from this app. She now asks me to show it to her! The guitar, train and cat are her favorite. I like how it shows several pictures for each item. Would love for the app to be expanded to include more things!!

Great Pictures and Sounds

My daughter loves this app! Great distraction when needed!

Great app for infants and toddlers

Provides a few realistic photos of each animal

Missing animals

The latest update removed some of the animals my son loved. He was heartbroken. Bring back the gray kitten!

Lite

I really love this app! My daughter has apraxia and she is so intrigued by the sounds!

Great app!

This app has a main page that shows 12 icons/pictures. The child touches one & it displays a photo of the item along with an audio clip of the item. Im a speech therapist who works with kids with developmental disabilities. Heres my take on this app: PROS: 1) Large, simple photos paired with clear audio clips are very appealing. 2) Randomly rotating picture/sound display for each item helps with generalization. 3) if you shake the iPad while on the main page, the positions of the buttons change locations ...which is useful in determining scanning and picture recognition for kids with developmental disabilities. CONS: 1) It does not label the item. Since the description says it is available in 5 different languages, maybe this function is not working on mine - or maybe the labels are only on the paid version. 2) I have student with Angelman Syndrome who loves this app. Unfortunately, the 12 icons are too many for him to be able to make a deliberate choice. The app would be great for kids with multiple disabilities who need to work on visual discrimination/picture recognition IF it users were given the option to limit the number of choices on the main page. 3) As a speech therapist, I dislike the frog page (although the sounds are actual recordings of frogs, the sounds are too unfamiliar for young kids to associate with frogs) and 4) I wish they hadnt put a turkey as one of the photos/sounds for the chicken icon. For kids with language delays this is confusing - for my students who can understand the difference, I usually make a joke of it, saying "Hey, thats not not a chicken! Get out of here you turkey!"

Ads in an Ad

Inappropriate ads for a baby app. Not a true light version, really just an ad. I cant even let my baby demo it. It gave me an idea of how the app works, but it also gave me a glimpse at the heart of the developers... Not a good first impression. Definitely turned off from buying the full version.
